Metro Exodus Review: Post-Apocalyptic Action Game
Metro Exodus is a post-apocalyptic action game developed by 4A Games for PlayStation 4. The game is the third installment in the Metro series and is based on the novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky. It is set in Russia in the year 2036, where the planet has been devastated by a total nuclear war.
In the game, the player takes control of Artyom, a former dweller of Moscow Metro, who, along with his wife Anna, escaped the capital to search for survivors in the Russian Far East. The game combines a sandbox open-world with traditional linear levels, and the player explores the Russian wilderness during and after the nuclear winter. The game also introduces the weather, day and night cycle, and change of seasons, making the gameplay more immersive.
